Ben W. Lupo, President and CEO. As founder and owner of D & L Energy Inc., Mr. Lupo began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1976 water hauling for drilling rigs, water fracturing tanks, and disposal. In 1984, he began leasing land and funding wells. At the same time, he supervised the operation and production of many wells throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. With the deregulation of the natural gas industry, Mr. Lupo established Gasearch, LLC, the marketing arm of D & L Energy, to provide natural gas to commercial/industrial accounts.
Susan A. Faith, Executive Vice President. Ms. Faith joined D & L Energy in 1989 and served as the manager of production revenue and joint venture accounting until 1998, after which she served as the Controller for D & L Energy. Ms. Faith became the Executive Vice President of D & L Energy in 2004. She attended Youngstown State University for an Accounting degree, and has more than 17 years of accounting and financial management experience in the oil and gas industry. Her specializations include financial analysis, system implementation, cash flow projections, forecasts, budgeting and corporate planning.
Nicholas C. Paparodis, Vice President of Land Leasing Operations since January 2001. Mr. Paparodis served as Land Coordinator from January 1998 to January 2001, and began his career as an independent lease agent working primarily in the Appalachian Basin. He has vast experience compiling urban drill sites involving hundreds of landowners, drilling rural areas, and is responsible for all pre-drilling preparations and supervision of land department employees. Mr. Paparodis began his career with D & L Energy and its affiliates in 1992. He attended Tennessee State University and is a member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association.
David J. Aquaro, Vice President of Finance. Mr. Aquaro has recently joined D & L Energy, Inc. Mr. Aquaro began his career with the New York office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as an accountant. Mr. Aquaro then joined Westrans Industries, Inc., a New York oil, gas and coal exploration and development company (subsequently acquired by TOTAL S.A. of Courbevoie, France) where he was Assistant Treasurer. After Westrans, Mr. Aquaro joined Ohaus Corporation of Pine Brook, New Jersey, a manufacturer of precision laboratory balances where he became Controller and Assistant Treasurer. Subsequently, he joined Degussa Corporation at its headquarters in New York. After a short period of time, he was invited to work at the World Headquarters of Degussa AG in Germany as a Financial Specialist. He later returned to Degussa Corporation where he became Vice President Finance and Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors and spent a total of 14 years within the Degussa organization. In recent years, Mr. Aquaro has worked for several companies including a major telecommunications company and has worked on assignments in Brazil, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Most recently he was Vice President of Finance for a manufacturer of precision automotive parts.
David W. Ingraham, Assistant Vice President of Finance. Mr. Ingraham received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Grove City College in 1974. In 1997, Mr. Ingraham obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University. In 2000, Mr. Ingraham began employment as a controller for Excavation Technologies, Inc., a small utility construction company. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Ingraham was Controller for Dodge City Mitsubishi, Inc., an automobile dealership. Beginning in May 2006, Mr. Ingraham has served as an Internal Auditor for D & L Energy and affiliates. He also has extensive experience in the real estate and software industries. He is certified by the Accountancy Board of Ohio and a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
David I. Rice, Production Manager of D & L Energy since June 2004. Mr. Rice has over thirty years experience in the Appalachian Basin oil and gas business. He previously served as Production Manager at Energy Development Corporation where his responsibilities included directing drilling, completing, and producing operations. He also serves at the Database Administrator for the Production Department of D & L Energy. Mr. Rice received a Bachelor of Business in Computer Information Systems and Business Management from Kent State University in 2000.
Eric C. Wright, Director of Supply for Gasearch, LLC, the gas marketing arm of D & L Energy Inc. since August 2005. Mr. Wright has over 7 years of natural gas marketing and procurement experience in the oil and natural gas industry. He pursued his Business Management Degree through University of Akron. His career in the natural gas industry began when he joined First Energy, a large natural gas marketer, as an energy analyst in the gas marketing division from September 2000 to August 2001. He assumed responsibilities at First Energy as the Appalachian buyer through December 2004. Mr. Wright subsequently joined Sprague Energy as the Appalachian supply manager from January 2004 to July 2005 in order to expand Sprague’s natural gas marketing business into Ohio. While at Sprague, Mr. Wright also assumed responsibility as marketing account manager of Ohio. Joining Gasearch, LLC in August 2005, Mr. Wright assumed the responsibilities of contracting and hedging the natural gas production of D & L Energy.
Robert S. Frock, Independent Consulting Geologist for D & L Energy. Mr. Frock is active in all phases of the oil and gas business. He is responsible for well-site evaluation, overseeing drilling operations, and the design and implementation of completion operations. Mr. Frock is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a B.S. in geology and has leased thousands of acres, developed and implemented drilling prospects, and overseen all aspects of drilling and completion. He managed an oil and natural gas drilling operation for seven years and has been involved in more than 800 wells and was responsible for all phases of drilling rig operation.
