BCF-one billion cubic feet of natural gas.

Caliper Readings-measure the diameter of the well bore.

Electric Logging-measures characteristics of rock around the well bore.

Electrical Resistivity Readings-identify fluids during drilling.

Gamma Ray Measurements-reveals gas during drilling.

Lifting and Operating Expense (L.O.E.)-costs of operating wells.

MCF-one thousand cubic feet of natural gas.

Mercaptan-a substance added to natural gas to create an odor for safety detection.

Mineral Lease-lease authorizing exploration and production of oil and gas.

Mud Logging-a type of sampling performed during drilling used to precisely identify the location of oil and gas.

Natural Gas-a mix of hydrocarbon gases and vapors found in certain geologic formations.

Net Revenue Interest-interest in an oil and gas well entitling owner to a portion of the well's production.

Reservoir-a rock formation where oil and or natural gas is found.

Royalty Interest (R.I.)-interest in an oil and natural gas well entitling owner to a share of gross proceeds with neither the expense of nor any control over drilling, completion and production of the well.
