Pumping is an industry term for the production process. Producing a gas and oil well
includes bringing the well fluids to the well bore, lifting these to the surface, and sending
them to market. A lease operator, often termed a “pumper”, performs many duties to
produce a well. These responsibilities include: monitoring pressures, operating and
maintaining production equipment, measuring gas and liquid volumes, preparing the oil
